At our Sherwood Community, we are proud to offer a dining experience that nourishes both body and soul.

One taste, and you want more!

While some of the Residents elect to partake of only the one meal offered as part of their Independent Living arrangement, many opt for a second or third on a very regular basis, discovering how good the overall dining really is here at Appalachian Christian Village.

Sherwood’s main dining room — the Azalea — is newly decorated in soft, welcoming colors chosen to accentuate the vaulted ceiling, large windows, and working fireplace that make this space one of our most popular. Here, five-star meals are served in elegant style from the buffet, á la carte menu, or an alternate menu. Each Sunday’s Brunch features freshly prepared waffles and omelets, as well as several carving stations. Residents are invited to special order favorite dishes whenever desired. Guests are always welcome. And fresh linens and flowers are considered as essential as salt and pepper.

Also at Sherwood is The Café — an indoor enclave with an outdoor presence and some of the tastiest cooked-to-order meals and buy-for-later confections and baked goods imaginable. Open from 7:30 to 9:30 am for breakfast, and 11:30 to 2:00 pm for lunch, The Café welcomes Residents and staff alike — and judging from its steady stream of patrons, it’s a favorite spot for both.

Sherwood’s Laurel — an intimate private dining room that seats up to eight — is perfect for small family gatherings and parties.

Needless to say, Maple Crest Residents enjoy complete and convenient access to all of Sherwood’s dining venues, as well as full catering services.
