  • Animated Arrow for QuestionsCan my Long Term Care insurance policy help pay the Monthly Service Fee?

Most LTC policies will not pay for independent living. You should review the language of your policy to make sure you know what types of services it covers. LTC Insurance will generally apply when assistance with daily activities or 24-hour nursing care is required. We are seeing more and more of our Residents join the Community with LTC Insurance.

  • Animated Arrow for QuestionsWhat kinds of higher levels of care are offered at Appalachian Christian Village?

One of the many reasons residents tell us they chose to reside at Appalachian Christian Village is their priority access to higher levels of service should the need arise on a short- or long-term basis. Our Health Care Center is licensed for both Level I/Intermediate and Skilled Nursing Care. Appalachian Christian Village offers two licensed Assisted Living communities — Pine Oaks and Magnolia Crossing. In addition, respite and adult day services are offered at our Pine Oaks Assisted Living Community. It is not unusual for a Resident to use one of these services while recuperating from an illness while maintaining their independent living residence. The same can be said about people who may be assessed as needing Assisted Living, but with good care, can later return to their independent living residence.
